This birdwatching tour is your ticket to the theatre of birds and nature in Bulgaria. From the steep cliffs of the Trigrad Gorge, via the volcanic rocks of the Eastern Rodopi Mountains - realm of the spectacular Griffon Vultures, Imperial Eagles and Black Storks, to the wetlands along the southern Black Sea coast, it is all about birds and the sport of birding. Day-to-day-program
Day 1
Arrival at Sofia Airport and transfer to Plovdiv. Birding at the foothills of Rodopi mountains and overnight stay at a cosy guest house.

Day 2
Transfer to the Trigrad Gorge. Frequent stops for birding. We are in the kingdom of the Peregrine Falcon, the Alpine Swifts and the Crag Martins. Overnight stay in Trigrad.

Day 3
We introduce ourselves to the morning birds' local society. We say " Hallo! " to a number of song birds and listen to their morning concert. We drive on to the village of Madjarovo in the Eastern Rodopes. Here we are about to enter the realm of the Griffon Vultures, The Black Vultures, the Imperial Eagles and the Black Storks. Overnight stay in Madjarovo.

Day 4
We spend the day birding. We visit excellent watch points around Studen Kladenets and Ivailovgrad area, as well as the Vulture Conservation Centre. Diner and overnight stay in Madjarovo.

Day 5
Transfer direction Sakar and Strandja Mountains. Frequent stops for birding as Sakar is home to more than 36 birds of prey, ( Imperial Eagle, Booted Eagle ), as well as some Mediterranean species: Masked Shrike, Olive-tree Warbler, Orphean Warbler, etc.

Day 6
Bird-watching in Strandja Mountains in the south east corner of Bulgaria. The thick oak forests and the gentle slopes shelter The Imperial Eagle, The Black Kite, The Semi-Collared Fly Catcher and many others. Diner and overnight stay.

Day 7
We head for the PODA Lagoon and PODA Concervation Centre. The Burgas lakes swarm with Pygmy Cormorants, Glossy Ibises, Black Terns, Night and Purple Herons, Spoonbills and many other water and wader species. Diner and overnight stay in the neighbourhood of the Burgas Lakes and wetlands.

Day 8
More birding in the morning. In the afternoon we leave for Sofia. Farewel dinner at a traditional style restaurant. Overnight stay in the vicinity of Sofia.
